ToggleEFB INFRALAN Cat.6A S/FTP Patch Cables
Cat6A (Category 6A) is a standard used in network cabling infrastructure. "S/FTP" signifies the shielding type of the Cat6A cable.
This cabling is designed for high-speed data transmission. This standard supports the full performance of 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GBASE-T) and extends the frequency range up to 500 MHz. As a result, it is ideal for large data transfers, network servers, cloud-based applications, and other high-bandwidth demanding applications.
"S/FTP" (Screened/Foiled Twisted Pair) cabling has a structure with shielding layers. Each pair of wires is wrapped with foil to reduce signal distortion caused by external electromagnetic interference. Additionally, an overall shield is applied to the cable where all the wires are housed together. This shielding prevents electromagnetic interference from external sources and ensures higher signal integrity. These cables are designed to provide high performance, low signal distortion, and reliability. The shielding minimizes interference caused by electromagnetic noise, enabling high-speed data transmission even over longer distances. These cables are commonly used in large-scale networks, data centers, enterprise networks, video conferencing systems, and other network applications that require high bandwidth. Cat6A S/FTP cables enhance the performance of your network while providing a reliable and stable connection.
Color Options Are Available
The benefits are listed below:
- High speeds: These cables support the full performance of 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GBASE-T). This enables high-speed data transmission and is effective for large data transfers, cloud-based applications, and other high-bandwidth demanding applications.
- Low signal interference: With shielding and foil wrapping, Cat6a S/FTP cables minimize signal interference caused by electromagnetic noise. This ensures higher signal integrity and reduces transmission errors.
- Reliability: These cables offer a reliable network connection. The shielding prevents electromagnetic interference from external sources and maintains signal quality, resulting in fewer interruptions and connection issues.
- Performance: Cat6a cables support the full performance of 10GBASE-T, while Cat5e cables only support 1 Gigabit Ethernet speeds. Cat7 cables can have a higher frequency range (up to 750 MHz) and support higher speeds than Cat6a.
- Shielding: Cat6a S/FTP cables feature individual pairs wrapped in foil and an overall shield that surrounds all the cables. Cat7 cables may have a more advanced shielding structure, including shielding for individual pairs.
- Cost: Generally, Cat6a cables are more affordable compared to Cat7 cables. Cat5e cables are usually cheaper but offer lower speeds and performance.
- In conclusion, Cat6a S/FTP cables are ideal for meeting modern network requirements, providing high performance, long-distance support, low signal interference, and reliability. Cat7 cables offer higher performance and potentially more advanced shielding, while Cat5e cables are suitable for lower bandwidth needs at a more affordable cost.
